The LowCam™ VI54 uses two environmentally sealed video cameras with internal LED lighting to conduct a thorough undercarriage inspection of passenger and commercial vehicles. Our cameras provide full color, clear, high quality video of vehicle s traveling up to 10 mph. The photo above is a screen shot of dual view inspection format. This video footage allows the operator to pause, rewind, step forward and back frame-by-frame to isolate areas of interest and potential threats. 250 inspections are stored on the hard drive for future inspection, litigation, insurance, or due diligence purposes. The complete system (Computer, Monitor, Inspection Ramp, Standoff Cable, and Cable Protectors) packs into a single Pelican® case. The LowCam™ VI54 is powered by a 12 volt source and can provide a complete inspection solution in remote locations using only vehicle battery power.

The LowCam™ VI108 and VI104 uses a total of eight video cameras during the inspection process. Four cameras are in use when inspecting low vehicles (under 24in), and the remaining four are engaged when a high vehicle (more than 24in) approaches. Our cameras provide full color, clear, high quality video of the under carriage. The photo above is a screen shot of quad view inspection format. This video can be paused, rewound, fast-forwarded, and zoomed-in to a full screen view for a thorough inspection. Using the same camera technology, Advanced Detection has also mastered the single image under vehicle inspection system. Above is a screenshot displaying a side by side comparison of a previous visit using License Plate Recognition software. The LowCam Single Image software has a distinct competitive advantage over line scan systems. Our inspection is compiled or “stitched” using videos, offering the end user the ability to use a standard touch pad to scroll over the single image and zoom on the area of interest. The zoomed image is not a distorted, flattened, 2D scan found in the line scan systems. The LowCam™ review and zoom functions supply the raw video footage for inspection. Both systems come standard with License Plate Recognition and stores individual vehicles in a queuing sequence using front and/or rear license plate information. 10,000+ videos can be stored in the detailed researchable database.

The majority of companies competing in the Under Vehicle Inspection market use line scan cameras reflecting off a mirror to provide a image of a vehicle’s undercarriage. The result is very similar to an office photo copy. The scanned images are a flattened, 2D representation of the undercarriage, unlike the 3-D effect produced by the LowCam™'s two over lapping cameras. Line Scan cameras / mirrors are also extremely fragile and very expensive to replace. The average replacement can be between $1,000 to $6,000 USD depending on the system. Replacement LowCam™ cameras are $200 to replace and serve as a quick plug-and-play solution. Set up time for the portable line scan systems, due to weight and number of pieces, are unexceptionably long- most competitors' products can be assembled in approximately one hour by 2-3 people.
