Maiden, NC 02 June 2009 – A time to cheer, a time to bond, a time to grab a stadium hot dog! For many years, sporting events have proven to be America’s most beloved and most cherished traditional past time. But for those of us in the security industry, seeing thousands of people gathered in a large venue can sometimes make us feel a little nervous.
It is for this reason, Advanced Detection Technology has started reaching out to influential individuals that ensure the safety of sporting arenas and their patrons. Since 2003, Advanced Detection Technology has been selected to secure numerous military, law enforcement, chemical, airport, trucking, private business and logistics facilities. The ongoing development and constant improvement of our under vehicle inspection systems, has pointed our company’s product offerings straight to the spectator sports market as a perfect security solution.
Our dedicated sales team has performed several live demonstrations of our world-renown LowCam™ VI108 Portable Under Vehicle Inspection System (UVIS) and has found that the product is an ideal applicant for safe-guarding the large volumes of traffic that enter into arenas. In many locations across the United States, the LowCam™ has been used to inspect incoming traffic, including players, vendors, and guest, that are entering into vulnerable areas of the venues.
The most recent debut of the LowCam™ VI108 UVIS was during the screening process of all infield traffic at the 2009 Coca-Cola 600 located at Lowe’s Motor Speedway in North Carolina. Our sales team quickly realized not only was the LowCam™ a great new security tool for the officers, allowing them to thoroughly
review the undercarriage of all motor homes, vehicles, and golf carts entering the infield, but the UVIS also served as an amazingly effective visual deterrent for incoming motorist as well. During the speedway demonstration, the LowCam™ equipment was set-up in less than three minutes, successfully directedhundreds of vehicles weighing up to 50,000 lbs to their infield destination, and streamlined inspections down to one minute per vehicle.
An alternate application for the LowCam™ VI108 Portable Inspection System was recently discovered at the RBC Center home of the Carolina Hurricanes, 2006 Stanley Cup Winners. Our sales team positioned the portable UVIS at the internal arena entrance where only pre-determined, select groups are permitted to enter the stadium. The security officials in attendance expressed a concern at this specified location since each player, VIP clientele, and vendors were allowed to park and unload in this area of the arena and could quickly access the venue’s main floor via an underground route.
